To Sir With Salad (#31)
For November, we returned to our list for "To Sir, With Love." In this film, there is a scene where the main character, a teacher, shows his students who are lacking in life skills how to prepare a salad. This became the inspiration behind our meal. I prepared a large salad bar, with about three different types of lettuce and every sort of salad topping you could imagine. Guests also supplied some of their own toppings and dressings. For dessert, since this film takes place in London, I prepared a classic custard.
Overall, this "Film Dining" experience was a big hit. Not only were the salads fresh, light, and tasty, but it connected well with the film, which is always my intention. The film itself was also very good, and one that most of us had never seen.
